Reports suggest that the mass casualty event at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City was the result of a misfired rocket launch by Hamas. No IDF air activity was reported at the time and the timing coincided with a salvo of rockets launched at Israel.
Reminder: 30-40% of Hamas' rockets misfire and land short in the Gaza Strip.

So what really happened?
Well, the people who consider Israel and evil oppressor will think Israel is lying and the people who don't consider Israel to be an evil oppressor will think Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are lying.
But there is another piece of evidence here worth considering: The fact that Hamas was bragging on Telegram about firing a rocket on Haifa at the same time the explosion hit the hospital:
There are videos I won't show here of dirtied kids being floated around on social media to stir up anger against Israel before the facts are out. That's Hamas' goal after all: To bait Israel into killing civilians and then fundraise off that by turning Israel's new Arab allies like the Saudis and Emratis against them.
While both sides are using dead kids in the propaganda war, Hamas is the only one that uses kids in schools and hospitals as human shields. Hamas is also the only one that teaches those kids things like this:
So how should we interpret the news about this "airstrike"?
My objective thought is this (take it or leave it): The Pentagon would know full well if IDF jets had been scrambled at that time. And Biden, being a Democrat who has to play to the Muslim factions and Marxist allies within his party, would be eager to condemn Israel if there were evidence of Israel bombing this hospital if it would make him appear balanced and give him leverage over Israel. The MSM would eagerly jump on the opportunity as well. The only way Israel could get ahead of the backlash is by claiming it was a legitimate target.
So if the White House and Pentagon say nothing and the story dies, that speaks volumes to me.
