UPDATE: School board rules that 12-year-old with Gadsden flag patch does NOT violate school policy ✊

Yesterday, a video went viral showing a school administrator confronting a student and his mother after he was kicked out of class by a triggered woke teacher because he had a Gadsden Flag patch on his backpack.

After the story went viral, the school board had an emergency meeting and determined that they were no longer going to tread on the boy.

They decided that the flag did NOT violate school policy and that the administrators were in the wrong.

In an email to parents of the Vanguard School, which was shared with TheBlaze, the board of directors explained:

From Vanguard's founding we have proudly supported our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the ordered liberty that all Americans have enjoyed for almost 250 years. The Vanguard School recognizes the historical significance of the Gadsden flag and its place in history. This incident is an occasion for us to reaffirm our deep commitment to a classical education in support of these American principles.

At this time, the Vanguard School Board and the District have informed the student's family that he may attend school with the Gadsden flag patch visible on his backpack.

So, this public charter school has decided to recognize that its students have a right to free speech. Isn't that kind of them? And all it took was massive public pressure!

But don't sell this short. All it takes is a small push. Even a boy can do it.
