The off-duty pilot who tried to crash a plane told the feds he took "magic mushrooms" before the flight. Check out his thought process. 🫠

Remember when we told you about the off-duty pilot, Joseph Emerson, who tried to cut the fuel on an Alaska Airlines flight and kill everyone on board?

Yeah, so there actually was a lot more to the story than we originally knew.

According to the attempted murderer, he was coming off a high on magic mushrooms.

When later interviewed by police he said he had a "nervous breakdown" after not sleeping for 40 hours and taking psychedelic mushrooms for the first time.

"I didn't feel okay. It seemed like the pilots weren't paying attention to what was going on. They didn't… it didn't seem right," (Joseph) Emerson told police, according to an affidavit obtained by The Post.

Yeah, this guy was about to turn his own bad trip into a REALLY bad trip for more than 80 other people.

Emmerson didn't admit to being high on mushrooms when he was on the plane but said he hadn't slept for 40 hours after his first attempt at trying psychedelics.

Although the affidavit doesn't state whether Emerson was under the influence of the mushrooms while on the plane, he later added: "I pulled both emergency shut-off handles because I thought I was dreaming and I just wanna wake up."

Is he telling the truth? I don't know.

But let's say this wasn't a mass-murder-suicide attempt and was a drug-induced walking nightmare. In that case, Emerson was so out of it that he thought he was dreaming and wanted to crash the plane to "wake up."

But Joe Rogan and Aaron Rodgers make it sound like taking psychedelics is totally harmless!

Don't do drugs, people!
