I would love to know who the chief marketing officer is over at Velveeta. I just want to ask them "WHY???"
First they brought us this cheese-scented nail polish:
And now this atrocity. I can't imagine what's next on their list of abominations.
I'm not sure if you can call anything made with fake cheese fancy, but the "fancy" cocktail goes for $15 which is a lot of money to pay just to puke into a nice martini glass.
The Velveeta Veltini is a bizarre mixture of classic martini ingredients with a fake-cheesy twist. It's made with Velveeta-infused vodka, olive brine and garnished with a cheese drip, presumably to make it Instagram-worthy. Although I'm really not sure what type of influencer is out there bragging about drinking anything made with nasty artificial cheese.
Velveeta said in a statement:
"As we look to summer, one of life's greatest pleasures is enjoying summer sips during golden hour. We wanted to find a way to elevate this experience for our fans even further, by bringing the rich, creamy goodness of VELVEETA to a martini in a unique and unexpected way for the ultimate outrageous pleasure."
The drink is available for a limited time at select BLT Restaurant Group locations.
Thankfully, all of them are far far away from me personally, so the chances of running into a Veltini in the wild are pretty slim.
