According to progressives, this viral video is terrifying...

The video shows people standing for the National Anthem with their hands over their hearts. STANDING! And actually showing respect!

This scary incident happened at Rainbow Oaks Restaurant in Fallbrook, California, and the video was posted last week.

The user who was dining at the restaurant posted the video with the caption, "By far the most dangerous situation I've ever been in. #godblessamerica. #getout, #illegal, and #whitepeoplethings"

The post has garnered more than 17,000 comments, the majority of which convey revulsion towards the display of patriotism.

One TikToker confessed she once worked at the American restaurant Mission BBQ and was forced to stand for the anthem every single day.

It was a miracle she made it out alive!!!

I hated it there so much.

Another brave soul chimed in by saying she hadn't been back to that restaurant after experiencing the same thing.

Serious question. Is this real? Like people actually do this in real everyday life?

Some users compared the video to a scene out of a horror movie and some users from outside of America called the tradition of standing for the anthem "bizarre."

In Spain we dont even hear the national anthem that much, so this would 100% freak me out so much.

Another user wrote, "As someone from the uk [sic] this feels so dystopian."

Many other commentators called the video "wild," "scary," and "terrifying."

After all this negative attention, the Southern California restaurant did not back down. They actually doubled down!

Rainbow Oaks Restaurant said they play the anthem every day at noon, a tradition they started six years ago and don't plan on ending.
