The stunning and brave and apparently vertigo-stricken congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on a bizarre and confusing rant during a committee hearing yesterday, and you won't believe the words that came out of her mouth.

I'm sorry, but this is crazytown. What in the heck is she talking about here?

"First of all, I don't want to hear a single person ... talk about valuing life when they continue to uphold the death penalty, when they continue to support policies that disproportionately incarcerate and lead to the deaths of black men … and uphold an absolutely unjust medical system."

Ahh yes, the classic "you aren't really pro-life if you don't support all these liberal policies that I like." This is a tried and (un)true liberal canard that paints the right as "uncaring" because they are in favor of law enforcement and against taxpayer-funded universal health care. The "only pro-life in the womb" strawman we've seen a thousand times. Gag me with chopsticks.

But then the honorable and glorious Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, may she reign forever, takes a turn into what can only be described as the ultimate bizarre fantasyland of leftist looneys.

"Let's talk about how many lives Planned Parenthood has saved & how many babies have been born because of the prenatal care provided by PP. And if you don't believe it and if you've never met a Planned Parenthood baby, I'm happy to let you know that I am one."

I am not disputing whether or not the great and mighty Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's mother used prenatal services at Planned Parenthood (although if she did AOC can thank her lucky stars she's here to tell about it) but I do think it's bizarre to paint this baby-killing organization as a life-saving organization based on one personal anecdote.

But okay Miss Ocasio-Cortez, you brought it up. What is the number of lives Planned Parenthood has "saved."

The wise and effervescent Ocasio-Cortez wants us to believe that Planned Parenthood saves lives more than it takes lives. Let's look at what the organization itself says.

According to their own 2020 annual report, Planned Parenthood performed 354,871 abortions in that one year alone. What about their "lifesaving" prenatal care the congresswoman is touting? That number is a staggering 8,626. And they're evil so they're probably exaggerating. Like they do with their stupid "3%" number.

Now I'm no mathematician, but according to my calculations 350,000 > 8,000.

These are the officially reported numbers. And this only from 2020. I didn't bring this up, AOC did. This means that if AOC's mom went to Planned Parenthood in 2020 that she'd be approximately 44 times more likely to have an abortion performed on her than receive the famous "prenatal care."

She also claims that the death penalty is a huge cause of death. Putting aside that it is, in my opinion, a just penalty for taking a life, according to the Death Penalty Information Center the number of those executed by the state in the U.S. in 2020 was 17.

Bear with me now...

350,000 > 17.

I don't think that the congresswoman from New York has any idea what she's talking about. But that's okay. The numbers don't matter. Reality doesn't matter. What matters is that she can spew this nonsense and get a "Yasss kween!!!" from her teenybopper base.

This rant of hers is crazy and illogical. Exactly what the Democrats want in a politician.
