So this just happened.

From local media:
A man was arrested Sunday after witnesses claimed he deliberately started a fire at Runyon Canyon, the popular hiking destination in the Hollywood Hills.
Firefighters responded to a call at 11:47 a.m. and arrived at 3026 Runyon Canyon Road, where they found a palm tree ablaze. Crews quickly moved to contain the fire using both ground and aerial resources, and it was fully extinguished by 12:25 p.m., officials said. No injuries were reported.
The park is not far from densely populated areas that recently suffered devastation from the late wildfires.
According to a local ABC affiliate, it took more than 50 firefighters to extinguish the blaze, which spread to a quarter-acre before being contained.
One local citizen, meanwhile, said the alleged arsonist tried a novel approach to deflecting blame:
‘He said, "I'm a fire marshal and this is a controlled burn," Mitchell recalled. ‘I said, "Show me your badge." Clearly, he didn't have a badge. He probably doesn't even have a toy badge.'
😂
A reminder for Californians: If you locked the violent crazies up, you wouldn't have to live like this.
