Watch: Hero 3rd-grader saves classmate who was choking in school cafeteria ๐Ÿ’ช

We've got ourselves a genuine hero story out of Mesa, AZ.

Third-grader Thomas Conley noticed at lunchtime that his buddy Isaiah was choking and he immediately sprung into action.

Check it out:

Isaiah accidentally swallowed a whole grape and was choking but it turns out Thomas knew exactly what to do. He didn't hesitate or run to get help; he immediately started performing the Heimlich.

Conley said he wasn't seated in his typical place in the cafeteria that day, but in one quick motion captured on the cafeteria's cameras, Conley dislodges the grape before staff notice.

This next line -- Thomas's reason for acting so quickly -- is one of my favorite lines I've ever featured on this website:

'It's because that I don't want Isaiah to die,' Conley said.

Dude is like 8 years old but already understands the depths of male friendship.

This is amazing, too: According to Thomas's mom they were literally talking at the dinner table the night before about what to do if someone is choking and how easy it is to choke on grapes!

That's Providence at work if I've ever seen it.
