Mississippi's lieutenant governor just collapsed on the state senate floor

Holy cow, guys! What in the world happened here?

Senator Johnson for a motion to recess.

Oh thank goodness he got that motion to recess in time!

Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann just slouches over, falls sideways bounces off the railing, then keeps falling and collapses.

Here's local news on the fainting politician:

Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann on Wednesday morning collapsed while presiding over the state Senate chamber.

Medical staff tended to him as he appeared to be conscious and was sitting upright shortly after he fell.

Senate staff cleared the chamber of people other than senators.

That looked like a rough fall, even if he woke up right away.
