You may not have heard about this (seriously, you may not have—there's so much going on that this isn't considered front-page news), but humans are planning to return to the moon in the next few years for the first time in five decades.
It's a big deal. And, unsurprisingly, NASA is leading the charge once again, with the space agency's Artemis program set to use the dazzling Space Launch System to bring humanity back to the lunar surface.
This week, the SLS was wheeled to its launchpad for a "wet dress rehearsal," a preliminary to actually launching the rocket for the first time.
Footage of crews transporting the 320-foot-tall rocket—an operation which took 10 hours—is nothing short of incredible, starting with the massive Crawler Transporter moving into place last wee:
