You love to see a mostly peaceful protest like this playing out as the backdrop to one of America's favorite Christmas traditions:
You're really representing the anti-Israel camp very well, folks!
There were more protesters there than you'd think from the video:
After rallying for at least an hour outside the News Corp building at 47th and 6th streets, a crowd of at least 500 pro-Palestinian demonstrators unfurled a large Palestine flag and briefly tried to push its way north towards the tree, where a line of police and barricades were waiting.
Stopped in its tracks, the group then reversed course, resulting a crush of people, scuffles and some arrests.
An anti-Israel group had earlier in the day called for activists to "FLOOD the Tree Lighting for GAZA!"
A total of seven people were reportedly arrested by police.
Totally normal behavior. Remember, these are "fiery-but-mostly-peaceful" freedom fighters on the #RightSideOfHistory!
