You can watch the moment for yourself at about 45 minutes into this livestream from St. Peter's Bascilica. Pope Leo was on his way out the door. The usual throng of people gathered to have him bless their babies and household objects (Catholics are weird), and then someone pulled out a rainbow flag.
First, he saw the flag (he knew that wasn't a flag commemorating the covenant God made with Noah!).
Then he turned smoothly away from it.
Finally, he continued on his way.
That's how you do it, people.
I should note that this isn't actually the LGBT Pride flag. It's the Italian Peace flag, which looks similar and was created in 1961 by a liberal socialist philosopher.
But Leo isn't taking any chances!
