While you do those mental gymnastics, I'll share more on this story from Fox 2 Detroit:

The Warren Police Department says a shooting outside of Michigan Collegiate High School could have ended up much worse as there were three buses full of kids just feet away from the shooting scene.

Police said at 2:40 p.m., six gunshots were fired in what they're calling a planned fight that evolved into a shooting involving someone who is not a student at the school.

According to police, some students who had been suspended from school earlier in the day on Monday came back, parked on the south side of the school, and then started shooting.

The guy who fired the gun was reportedly not a student, but was brought as muscle for "a planned after-school fight," according to Warren Police Captain Charles Rushton.

Warren Police arrived at the school less than a minute after the first shot was fired and Rushton said that likely changed the outcome.

Wait, wait, wait... so good guys with guns "changed the outcome" of what the bad guys with guns had planned??

No one was hurt in this incident, but police are still looking for the perp who fired the gun.

"I believe we just got lucky today," Rushton said.

But you might not get lucky next time. If you want to stop this stuff, you need to empower good guys to protect and you need to get serious about putting bad guys in jail.

Detroit is a leftist enclave that will do neither.
