Atlanta homeowner arrested for criminal trespass after attempting to evict squatter (the cops lectured her about her privilege too!)

This is absolutely nuts. I have no clue why this is happening in America in the year 2024.

A Clayton County, Georgia, homeowner was jailed after the people squatting in her home had her arrested.

(You read that right.)

Sakemeyia Johnson has been living in Loletha Hale's house for months. The home reportedly belonged to Hale's mom and Johnson moved in at some point (she was discovered living there in August).

There was a big legal battle, and eventually the judge found that Johnson was not a technical squatter because "she was related to a previous evicted tenant's partner."

That's right. Because she was somehow related to the romantic partner of someone who had reportedly lived there at some point in the past ... the judge said she's not squatting.

It's crazy seeing the cops, no questions asked, seemingly siding with the squatters and assuring them that the person who literally owns the house will be charged.

And then how the officer scolds the homeowner!

Just think about it from this perspective. Not everyone is as fortunate as you to have a bed ... the little things.

It's clown world stuff.

The cop is literally making excuses for trespassing and theft.

Here's more from WSB-TV 2 in Atlanta:

Hale said she thought Johnson had moved out of the home and came over the weekend to start cleaning up the home.

'I returned on Monday to start painting and she had broken the locks at my property,' Hale said.

'She just caught up out of nowhere. She had this guy with him, and I locked the door. I locked the screen door, and he forced himself in telling us to get out,' Johnson told police.

Hale was apparently recorded by one of them and was heard telling them to "leave before I get my gun."

Because of that, she also got slapped with making "terroristic threats."

'To see that woman walk into my mom's house while I was in the police car, something is wrong with this picture. Something is inherently wrong with this picture.'

Hale has been charged with criminal trespassing and a misdemeanor count of terroristic threats.

The alleged squatter has not been charged with any crime.

You guys remember this amendment from the Constitution?

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

The Founders literally went and got their guns because the King of England was forcing them to house people in their homes. The protection of personal property and the sanctity of a person's home was so important to them that they thought of it immediately after the right to free speech and the right to own and carry weapons.

They wouldn't recognize the dystopian hellscape that many cities in America have become!

Especially, it seems, Atlanta ๐Ÿ‘‡

What the heck is going on in Georgia?
