BAD DOG!
Check out this scene out of Colorado Springs where a dog put its paws up on the oven looking for a midnight snack and accidentally started a housefire in the process.
I have a lot of questions here, but the one that I need answered first is, WHY ARE THERE FLAMMABLES ON THE STOVE?!?!?
Authorities have released a video of a dog starting a house fire by turning on the stove in the middle of the night. The incident happened when a Colorado couple awoke to a high heat alert from their Apple HomePod last week, only to find a fire blazing in their kitchen. Colorado Springs firefighters responded to the fire in the early morning hours of June 26 … Fortunately, the owners were able to extinguish the flames, and the man was treated for smoke inhalation.
Ladies and gentlemen, never — and I mean NEVER — leave anything flammable sitting on the stovetop. I don't care if you're not using the stove, don't plan on using the stove, or even if you can't use it because it's inoperable. Just don't leave stuff up there.
These people are lucky to be alive, and they have no one to blame but themselves for this incident. Doggo wanted some doughnuts — or whatever was up there — and if those things hadn't been sitting on the stove, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
It sounds like everyone, including doggo, is okay. And I bet you they'll never be leaving flammables on the stovetop ever again.
Learn from other people's mistakes, people. It's much, much better than learning from your own.
