You can 100% feel the raw emotion here:
Matthew Stafford is a talented QB. The dude's put up impressive numbers, but like running back Barry Sanders before him, that talent was squandered playing for the Detroit Lions, whose leadership can't seem to figure out the very concept of winning.
For 12 years โ TWELVE! โ Stafford was on a Lions team that couldn't win a single playoff game.
You can argue Stafford was part of that failure as well, but I'd counter with this: in his first season since leaving Detroit for the Rams, he's headed to the Super Bowl. That's not a coincidence.
Stafford says his wife Kelly is "fired up" about the NFC Championship win. He'll have the chance to win it all playing against the Cincinnati Bengals at the Super Bowl on February 13.
