A grandmother and her two grandchildren were walking home from an egg hunt on Sunday in Poughkeepsie, New York, when this happened:
That was a close one!
The grandmother, Lisa Davis, said, "I didn't know what to do except grab my grandson and run ... I couldn't really run straight ahead of me to the corner because the manhole at the next corner blew up too."
Firefighters found "high levels of gas" near the explosion sites of three separate manhole explosions in the area.
Grandma is a little hesitant to walk those sidewalks again, but her 6-year-old grandson said, "I wasn't that scared."
The 2-year-old in the stroller could not be reached for comment.
