For some reason I never expected this out of Alaska, but check out the scene outside Gaslight Lounge in Anchorage over the weekend as an active shooter is taken down by security.
Notice the security guards at the bottom of the screen checking things out before they take action. Also notice one of the other security guards had approached the shooter, tried to reason with him, and then became the target of the shooting.

Police identified the man killed as 23-year-old Leroy Manogiamanu. They estimated there were roughly 100 people in the area when the shooting took place just before bar break.
Police on Sunday said officers responding just before 3 a.m. to the 700 block of West Fourth Avenue found Manogiamanu dead, another person with life-threatening injuries, and another less seriously wounded. A fourth person was later found with an injury as well.
Two doormen at the Gaslight were shot during the incident, and a female bar patron was grazed by a bullet fired by the shooter that pierced the front window, according to owner John Pattee.
According to Pattee, one doorman was shot seven times and the other once in the hand, and both are expected to survive. The shooter was the only person killed, he said.
Here's what tipped the guys at Gaslight Lounge off before this all went down. I don't have video, but I do have a description of security footage:
[T]wo men wearing gloves, hoods and face-covering black masks pass by the entrance, followed by several women. One is wearing a backpack backwards. The other, who appears to be the shooter in later footage, seems to be holding something in his hand in the video provided by the bar.
No wonder they were so ready for action!
The bar owner says these suspicious men were not patrons at the bar and that the security team was simply checking on their surroundings as it was near closing time.
Kudos to those security guards for taking such swift action to take down the shooter!
