Watch Trump lay out his reelection plan to shut down the censorship regime and pass a "Digital Bill of Rights"

The Donald is doubling down on draining the Swamp with a major focus on breaking up Big Tech collusion if he wins in 2024:

Here's the breakdown. Trump says he'll do the following if reelected:

  1. Ban any federal department or agency on Day 1 from colluding with any business or individual to impede the lawful speech of Americans, ban the use of the labels "misinformation" and "disinformation," and fire every bureaucrat who was involved in censorship.
  2. Investigate everyone involved in Big Tech censorship and prosecute offenders under federal civil rights law, campaign finance law, anti-trust laws, and other "civil, constitutional, and regulatory" statutes. Trump wants the House GOP to send letters to the Biden admin ordering them not to destroy evidence of collusion between the White House and platforms like Twitter, as exposed by the Twitter Files.
  3. Revise Section 230, which gives online companies legal immunity for content posted by users and protects them from civil lawsuits if they moderate or ban people according to their guidelines. This has regularly been used by Big Tech, which is overwhelmingly leftwing in ideology, to censor political rivals and debate by labeling opposing views as "misinformation." Trump says immunity should only be provided if platforms meet high standards of neutrality. Trump also focused on the discrepancy of Twitter's focus on censoring lawful speech while ignoring illegal content like child pornography on the site.
  4. Stop federal funding to all non-profits and academic programs that support the "misinformation" narrative or have engaged in censorship themselves, and create laws to hold bureaucrats criminally accountable who have partnered with private entities to "do an end run around the Constitution" and violate constitutional rights. Trump also wants to investigate the large number of bureaucrats, such as Twitter's former general counsel who was previously general counsel for the FBI, that are hired by companies. This would include a 7-year post-employment period where former federal intelligence agents are not allowed to be hired by companies "possessing vast quantities of U.S. user data."
  5. Pass a "Digital Bill of Rights" in Congress that includes digital due process, or the requirement of a court order to take down online content. Trump is concerned that the FBI was sending requests to platforms such as Facebook and Twitter in order to get undesired posts removed. This bill of rights also includes the right to know why their content or profile is being censored and the right to legally and timely appeal. Trump says Americans over age 18 should have the right to opt out of content moderation and curation.
