Let's take a break from all this Somali fraud in Minnesota and look into something completely different:

Somali fraud in Maine!

Reporter: In March of 2022 Gateway [Community Services] received a notice of violation from the state's Maine Care Services Program Integrity Unit based on an audit of records taken at random from January 2017 through December of 2018. Gateway overbilled by an estimated $904,000.

Yeah, in two years Gateway Community Services was alleged to have bilked nearly a million bucks from taxpayers. But that didn't seem to slow anyone down.

Here's what happened after Covid with the PPP loans.

Reporter: In your professional opinion, what you saw was fraud?

Bernardini: Absolute. No doubt about it ... I started seeing $2,000 bonuses going to the staff that had only been with us for two weeks, never worked a shift with a client. And yet the PPP loans you're giving $2,000 away like they're lollipops.

They were given notice about the fraud, then the Covid money hit, and they just kept paying out their buddies with "bonuses" for doing nothing, all on the back of you, the American taxpayer.

Third-world corruption at its finest!

Well, the real "finest" corruption comes when the whistleblower got fired, and then the owner of the business took the money and used it to run for office back home in Somalia.

He wrote on X last week:

There are some interesting reactions to this story.

It doesn't matter if it's Minnesota or Maine, it seems like fraud just keeps following the people most known for their piracy wherever they go.
