Watch: Wild gangs of "teens" take over malls in New York and D.C.

If you thought there was any hope that malls in the United States might be making a comeback, I'm afraid you should think again:

From the D.C. area:

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City was shut down Saturday evening after a series of large fights led to a massive, multi-agency police response.

The fights started breaking out among groups of teens and mall security around 6 p.m., according to scanner traffic. By 7 p.m., additional fights in the food court started escalating and all available officers were urgently dispatched to the mall.

Police radio traffic described '100 kids actively fighting' and 'a mele.'

This is what happens when you give kids not enough discipline and way too much free time. Straight up.

Amazingly, that wasn't the only mall overrun by wild "teens" in the past few days:

Videos show hundreds of shoppers running in a panic after a group of teenagers caused mayhem at a mall in New York City, police said Monday.

The videos posted all over social media show the chaos at The Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx over the weekend.

The mob of teenagers — mostly teenage boys — could be seen causing mayhem and scaring small children:

Please note that this is a periodic and ongoing problem at U.S. malls:

Either these kids will face consequences for this behavior, or they're just going to be back at the mall next week doing the same thing.
