Hey ladies, you wanted equality? Well, here you go!

Trump's Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth just shared a video announcing he will be eliminating separate fitness standards for men and women in the military who will be serving in combat or combat-related roles.

He recorded the video while en route to Japan. Check it out:

For far too long, we allowed standards to slip, and different standards for men and women in combat arms MOS's and jobs. That's not acceptable. We need to have the same standards - male or female - in our combat roles to ensure our men and women who are under our leaders and in those formations have the best possible leaders and the highest possible standards that are not based at all on your sex.

The official memo can be found here.

Finally, some common sense.

The internet seemed to agree, with some asking why women are allowed in combat roles to begin with:

Thankfully, it seems like we no longer have to worry about a 5-foot female trying to drag a wounded soldier like Mongo here out of combat. 👇

Rest easy tonight. The military that's built to protect you was just made stronger.
