Watch these window washers dangle from 78th floor of a Manhattan skyscraper 😨

There are many reasons I am not a window washer.

This is one of them:

I dunno what those guys were doing but I know what I'd be doing up there:

The scaffolding was reportedly dangling from security lines on the building's roof, though thankfully everyone got out alive:

Crews had to break windows to help get the workers off the scaffolding and pull them to safety inside the high-rise.

The rescued workers are in 'stable condition,' according to FDNY Deputy Chief Michael Trahan, after being treated on scene by EMS and transported to the hospital.

Amazingly, the workers were reportedly not tethered to safety lines of their own, and according to firefighters they "kept trying to stand up" during the rescue:

'[W]e kept telling them sit down, sit down, they weren't secured to anything.'

Good rule of thumb if you're in a free-swinging scaffold at the 78th story:
