Democrats reintroduce reparations bill, arguing, "We find ourselves in a moment of emboldened white supremacy"

As Trump rolls back DEI (aka distributing things based on race, gender, and sexual orientation), the Democrats are going ahead and reintroducing H.R. 40, a bill which would "create a commission to study and propose reparations for slavery and subsequent racial discrimination (aka distribute things based on race).

Here's more from Pressley:

‘We find ourselves in a moment of emboldened white supremacy and anti-Black racism, and a weaponized Supreme Court that is actively gutting protections and progress that has been made,' Pressley, D-Mass., said in an exclusive interview.

She described the country as being at ‘a painful inflection point.' She added, ‘We have a hostile administration working actively to roll back decades of progress and more recent progress when it comes to our civil rights.'

So because Trump put a stop to discrimination based on race, gender, and sexual orientation, we are now at a "painful inflection point"? And we've got a "hostile administration working actively to roll back decades of progress"???
Yeah, I don't think so. To be honest, this is classic gaslighting.

Dr. Steve Hassan, an expert on cults, says gaslighting "occurs when an individual manipulates another person by distorting, twisting, and dismissing their experiences, making them question their memories, perceptions, and reality."

And I'm sorry, Ayanna Pressley, but my memory tells me that DEI was the exact opposite of progress, putting people in positions based simply on their identity. It's regression, going back to a time of discrimination, just like handing reparations to a tenth of the population would be. And we all know that reparations money would find its way into the hands of the rich faster than you could say "Orange Man Bad."

So don't give me the whole "Trump is hostile to progress" garbage. Trump is literally the most progressive Republican president we've seen since Teddy Roosevelt. And that's not me gaslighting, that's me paying attention and realizing we have a 90s Democrat in office.
