Woke Ben & Jerry's won't sell ice cream in "Occupied Palestinian Territory" (AKA Israel)

Israel is too un-woke for ice cream now.

"We believe it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry's ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT)," the company said on Monday.

The so-called OPT is referring to East Jerusalem and the West Bank, by the way.

"We have a longstanding partnership with our licensee, who manufactures Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Israel and distributes it in the region. We have been working to change this, and so we have informed our licensee that we will not renew the license agreement when it expires at the end of next year."

This announcement was the company's first social media post since May, which means they did the unthinkable... They abstained from the Un-Holy Woke Sacraments of "LGBTQ Pride" Month and Juneteenth! GASP!

That is a big no-no for any Wokeist, even more for a Woke activist company like Ben & Jerry's. Their Twitter bio is literally, "Peace, Love, & Ice Cream." I mean, come on. You can't have a bio like that and not participate in the Woke ordinances!

Some have speculated the company went silent for two months because they didn't know what to do in response to "pro-Palestinian activists" pressuring them to cut its ties with Israel.

Vermonters for Justice in Palestine, an activist group in Ben & Jerry's home state, has been a thorn in the company's side since at least 2013. The group prepared a report for the company, complaining about Ben & Jerry's being distributed in "Occupied Palestinian Territory."

"We've tried to appeal to them based on their mission of love, peace, equality. But they ignored us," said Wafic Faour, leader of VTJP's Ben & Jerry's campaign.

"Now, public opinion is changing, especially due to the younger generations who have taken to social media and protests and come to our aid. They can no longer ignore us."

The fact that this is what B&J said to break its silence seems to corroborate that theory.

Although it's apparently un-Woke to sell ice cream in Israel, Ben & Jerry's said they will "still stay in Israel through a different arrangement" and "will share an update on this as soon as [they're] ready."

Today's lesson of Wokeism teaches us that it's un-woke to sell ice cream in the so-called OPT (aka Israel), but it is also fine to sell ice cream in Israel "through a different arrangement." Flawless Woke Logic.

It appears what's really going on is that Ben & Jerry's has a conflict of interest.

Ben & Jerry's has licensed a factory in Israel for nearly 30 years. The factory produces and distributes ice cream throughout the country, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem (the so-called OPT).

In other words, the company's commercial success in the promised land contradicts their religion of Wokeism. For years, Ben & Jerry's has tried to synchronize the two, but the prophets of Wokeism persistently demand the company's total devotion!

Ben & Jerry's now must choose whom they will serve.

"We have a longstanding partnership with our licensee, who manufactures Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Israel and distributes it in the region. We have been working to change this, and so we have informed our licensee that we will not renew the license agreement when it expires at the end of next year," the company said.

Translation: they're trying to have their ice cream and eat it, too. But it remains to be seen whether the keyboard warrior activists will accept this two-state solution.

To Ben & Jerry's, I say:

Good luck trying to please the Woke Monster because it doesn't care much for your ice cream. The Woke Monster is never satisfied. It devours everyone and everything.
