Well, that was an easy bust!
41-year-old Octavia Wells of Bay County, Florida, has been arrested after trying to buy some fentanyl from her drug dealer. Her crucial mistake: She accidentally sent her drug order to Stephen Pettijohn, an investigator with the Bay County Sheriff's Office. 🤣
According to the affidavit below Wells texted Officer Pettijohn to order "just a couple points" (one-tenth of a gram) of fentanyl at a nearby convenience store.
It seems the confusion stemmed from the police officer being stored in her phone under "PJ" due to a "previous interaction" with the police. "PJ" also happened to be the initials of her drug dealer.

Pettijohn got the text and waited at the convenience store with several other police officers to arrest Wells when she arrived.
Wells was charged with unlawful use of a communication device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license.
And if they had a charge for being a dumb criminal, I'm sure she'd get that one too!
