65-year-old Paula Walter lost her wedding ring in her garden in 1983, a few years after getting married.
It flew off her hand while she was playing with her son, and despite their best efforts (which included a metal detector) they were never able to recover the cherished gold band.
Well, fast forward almost 40 years, and the same couple at the same house hired a landscaping company to do some work on their garden last month.
Take it away, Paula:
"They called me out into the garden a while later saying they had a surprise for me and then handed me my wedding ring," Walter said. "It was in the garden where I was standing and where I had been playing ball with my son all those years ago."
There, some happy news for your brains. 😊
