Yes, the Women's Pro Baseball League will begin play in May of 2026!
The WPBL held tryouts in Washington, D.C. back in August for over 600 female athletes. That was the largest female baseball tryout since the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League held its tryouts in the 1940s. You may remember these from the 1992 film A League of Their Own.
The WPBL Draft is set for "later this year."
