Yes, LA firefighters are fighting fires using canvas bags full of water
· Jan 9, 2025 · NottheBee.com

You guys, the video I'm about to show you is not some reality TV game show or any sort of parody - it's actually how the LAFD is fighting fires in their city.

Unlike what this lady assumes -- and what the internet has run with -- these are not handbags.

TMZ has us covered on this one:

LAFD officials tell TMZ the 'handbags' seen in local news reports this week were actually canvas bags firefighters bring on their engines for various jobs. When tackling a small trash fire like the one in this video, it's easier for them to quickly fill the bags with water and extinguish the flames, than it is to haul out a hose.

So this dumpster fire was more efficiently put out with these bags of water than it would've been with a hose.

And guys, I know that's a dumpster fire, but I regret to inform you that this is not the dumpster fire we all know as the City of Los Angeles. Los Angeles is much bigger than that particular dumpster fire, and the firefighters are still fighting several fires in LA County.
