You hate to see it: NBC's coverage of the woke Olympics had absolutely abysmal ratings

I never get tired of saying "go woke, go broke."

That's right. Americans didn't want to watch the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and one doesn't have to look far to understand why.

On many days throughout the 17-day spectacle, viewership of the games clocked in at roughly half of what it was for the games in 2016, according to the Associated Press.


As in 50%.

That's brutal.

NBC is selling extra ad time to try to make up for what University of Alabama sports communications program director Andy Billings called a "worst-case scenario" for the network.

Americans are tired of hearing their wealthy and privileged athletes tell the world that their country is a backward, oppressive hellhole filled with idiots and racists.

We're tired of athletes dividing us through temper tantrums as they compete to be the best disciples of wokeism instead of the best practitioners of their games.

There's a reason people tune out when they see this:

The spectacular failure of the Olympic TV ratings is proof of a trend seen with the NBA, NFL, MLB, and all other woke sporting establishments: Americans want to be united (around both our successes and our challenges), not divided by your hateful nonsense.
