I guess it's safer than dropping eggs from a chopper. Lord knows it's safer than tossing turkeys out of a helicopter.
Apparently, a park in Michigan has an Easter-time tradition of dropping thousands and thousands of fluffy marshmallows onto a field and having youngsters chase down the treats.
The annual Great Marshmallow Drop took place at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield, hosted by Oakland County Parks.
Hundreds of children waved and cheered as the helicopter passed by on its way to the drop zone. Once there, a passenger dumped the treats out of a sack and onto the grass below and children darted to collect them.
These kids were having the time of their life!
Don't worry, the mallows were not for eating. They're exchanged at the end of the day for another prize, a bag of candy.
And I'm sure telling hundreds of toddlers and young kids "Don't eat the marshmallows on the ground" totally worked and NONE of them ate any of the sweet gooey snacks that fell like manna from heaven.
