It appears the Caitlin Clark experiment in the WNBA is going about how many people predicted. From the moment she was drafted, plenty of folks anticipated the former collegiate superstar would have a rough initiation into a league that wouldn't play nice with "straight white girls."

Slow that video down and watch the player who knocked Clark to the ground start back down the court. Smiling. Such class.
After this news went viral, the NBA upgraded the foul (when players acquire enough foul points it leads to suspensions).
The offender, Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter, will not be suspended as this is her first infraction.
And it doesn't appear that an apology will be forthcoming, either.
To make matters even worse, Clark's collegiate rival Angel Reese, who now plays for the Sky, seemed to be thrilled at the goonish behavior exhibited by her teammate.
Gross.
What's perhaps the most perplexing thing about all this, is the WNBA's apparent disinterest in protecting the very person that is their cash cow. Caitlin Clark has brought more attention and revenue to this notoriously dull league than they've ever experienced before.
But jealousy, envy, and maybe a bit of racism and heterophobia too, seem to outweigh common sense.
