This was CNN’s defense for why they haven’t covered Biden’s dementia, and it should be the final nail in American journalism’s coffin

T. Becket Adams, the program director for the National Journalism Center, said what so many of us have been thinking as all the "This-Joe-Biden-dementia-stuff-has-totally-taken-us-by-surprise" routine of the mainstream media:

Bingo. It's not plausible. Adams joked sarcastically how that would require all these professional journalists to make the case they were unknowingly duped by brilliant geniuses and wordsmiths like Karine Jean-Pierre. It's too laughable to even contemplate. "Either you're a terrible liar or you're terrible at your job," the media critic noted.

I'm just hopeful that the journalist class doesn't get a pass for this. They have been complicit in one of the greatest cover-ups in American political history. Except they did it in broad daylight when we all knew what was going on but they carried on a massive gaslighting campaign, speaking frequently of "deep fakes this," and "cheap fakes that."

As it turned out, the only thing that proved fake was the credibility of modern American newsrooms.

And even when they do try to come up with an explanation for their dereliction of duty, check out what they come up with:

There's no way they actually wrote that. There's no way that CNN actually put out a statement suggesting that they couldn't find time to cover the severe cognitive decline of the man who occupies the Oval Office because the former guy, out of power for four years, lies too much.

But they did.

Never mind Biden's own strained relationship with the truth - a record of dishonesty well archived and well known to anyone who cares to notice. Forget that, and just think how flatly absurd it is that the most powerful man in the world, with sole control over the launch codes for the world's most extensive nuclear stockpile, suffers from dementia but the story goes uncovered by an intentionally negligent press. And why? What is their justification?

They hate Trump and fear that covering the story might help him.

I know Trump Derangement Syndrome isn't officially listed by medical professionals as being among the 10 chronic illnesses. But the condition is acute and dangerously contagious in newsrooms.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who caught the line that Trump "has threatened to use the government to go after his political opponents." Sweet mother of Pearl, I can't even begin to process that obtuseness. Suppose Trump had threatened such a thing - is that somehow worse than Joe Biden who actually IS using the government to go after his political opponents?!

Later in his thread humorously covering this unmasking of this journalistic malpractice, Adams imagines the derelict media's response:

We didn't see anything unusual in POTUS spending roughly 50% of his presidency holed up in Delaware, taking only pre-approved Qs, declining media layups like the Super Bowl interview, or hiding behind a wall of aides to shield him from photojournalists. We never saw the signs!

The most powerful man in the world has been directed, guided, and rescued by the Easter Bunny for heaven's sake.

If there has ever been a better case for the complete sacking of the entire Democrat Media Complex, I can't say I've seen it. We need professional journalists, not activists and propagandists. Clean house at the networks and newspapers, raze the schools of journalism, and start it all over again from the ground up.

And maybe we should see if "PatriotMom1776" has any interest in hosting Meet the Press.
