Earlier this year a California police officer nearly lost her life — and gave us all a clear and brutal lesson in police work in the process:

[Warning: Violence]

In the disturbing video, the unidentified officer is heard pleading, 'Please don't shoot me!' following the confrontation with 26-year-old Osean McClintock in Fountain Valley, Orange County.

'You're saved in Jesus' name forever,' a shirtless McClintock rants over and over as he is shown ripping the handgun out of the screaming officer's hands in chilling footage released by the Fountain Valley Police Department on Wednesday.

The incident started out (relatively) normally enough: A male officer responded to reports of a man attempting to break into an occupied vehicle in a parking lot. There he encountered Osean McClintock, who was plainly disoriented and erratic.

When asked by the male officer to take a seat, McClintock took off:

The male officer chased him, but momentarily lost him. When he found McClintock again, the deranged man was in the parking lot of the police department, had opened the car door of a random cruiser, and taken the gun of the female officer.

This should have been the moment when the whole situation ended.

Any police officer who's been through any sort of training should recognize that when a suspect is reaching for your gun, it's virtually certain that he's going to try to kill you.

She needed to act, but she froze and nearly paid with her life.

If you spend any time on the internet at all, you'll know that this inability to perform in dangerous situations is a bit of a meme trope.

That's because these types of things are a pattern among female cops (you're not suppose to be a pattern noticer, you bigot!).

[Warning: Violence, Language, Utter Stupidity]

I'm not here to insult women. I'm not saying there aren't totally incompetent male cops. But we need to have a conversation about DEI standards among officers who are trusted with guns. You need to be thinking about how "girlboss" feminism is putting your family in danger for the sake of feelings.

Go back and watch the end of the first video again. While the male officer was taking down the bad guy, the female officer was whimpering and crying off to the side (and nearly in the line of fire herself).

Which officer would you rather have protecting you in a dangerous situation?
