A California high school football team is playing in the state championship and they haven't completed a single pass all year

Okay, how is this even possible?!?!

Not a single completed pass!

The entire year!!

[T]he Highlanders (12-2) have passed just seven times all season. Not one attempt was caught. Despite not completing a pass, Granada Hills has marched its way to 12 wins, a City Section Division I title, a SoCal Regional championship, and the CIF State Division 4-A title game at San Marin High (12-2) on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The opposition knows what's coming. Clearly, it doesn't matter.

I'd actually argue that the opposition has no idea what's coming.

Why?

Because the Double Wing offense is one of the most confusing offenses a defense will ever encounter.

Watch this:

That clip is from last year, but it just demonstrates how much misdirection and confusion is involved in this offense.

Also, when you've got a guy like Dijon Stanley running the ball, you're not gonna lose very often.

Yeah, that dude is hard to stop!

Not to mention:

If the ball isn't in Stanley's hands, it's in the hands of his cousin, sophomore Darrell Stanley, who has rushed for 1,294 yards and 19 touchdowns for Granada Hills this season.

Look out for these kids!

Bucky Brooks' team will take on San Marin in the state championship tomorrow night, and hey, maybe they'll complete a pass just to mess with all of us.

Though I suggest they keep the ball on the ground and win this game the way they got there.
