Look, real talk: If you're smoking crystal meth you're probably already not thinking too clearly. But this seems like a blunder beyond even that:
A man handed over a packet of meth instead of a vehicle registration document during a traffic stop in West Virginia, according to police.
Bridgeport Police Department officers carried out a traffic stop for improper registration on I-79 on Sunday, according to NBC/ABC affiliate WBOY.
During the stop, driver Roy Porter, 57, gave officers what they initially thought was the vehicle's registration.
Police then led a K9 unit around the vehicle and found drugs, according to a complaint seen by WBOY.
You can just picture that guy's surprise when they came back with the dogs:
It's worth pointing out that this was apparently no small-time addict:
Officers said they found four grams of meth and that passenger Jared Mayle, 21, from Salem had 220 grams of the drug in his possession.
220 grams of meth is... a lot of meth. They charged him with "possession with intent to deliver," which seems to make total sense given the evidence.
We'd like to say "Don't give cops your drugs when they pull you over." But of course, the better advice is, "Um, hey, don't do drugs in the first place, ever." Problem solved!
