While the president uses the Paul Pelosi attack carried out by a mentally unstable former nudist green party member with rainbow flags outside his home as an example of right-wing violence, I can't help but notice nearly EVERY example of political violence is from folks on the Left or those attacking Republicans.
As we "battle for our democracy" this year in the midterms, more and more Republicans are targeted for violence.
Here's ANOTHER recent example:
A nut in New Hampshire who, I'm sure, was just trying to save our democracy, tried to physically assault a Republican senate candidate.
Republican New Hampshire Senate candidate Don Bolduc dodged a punch from a would-be assailant before stepping onstage to debate Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) on Wednesday, according to reports.
Bolduc, 60, a retired Army brigadier general, was apparently unharmed, and the individual who attempted to assault the Senate candidate was arrested, according to his campaign.
"As the general said on stage tonight, it's time to lower the temperature of the political discourse in this country. Prior to the debate, an individual in the crowd gathered outside attempted to punch the general and was quickly apprehended and arrested," a Bolduc campaign spokesperson told Boston 25 News.
Before taking the debate stage a political activist, who is apparently a Libertarian Party member, attacked a Republican candidate, attempting to punch him.
Kevin Donohoe, Hassan's campaign communications director, said Wednesday that the assailant was a "Libertarian Party activist," and he condemned the incident.
"Disgusting behavior. We saw this same libertarian party activist get aggressive with our campaign volunteers at this debate and the last," Donohoe wrote on Twitter.
(For all my libertarian friends, I recognize there's a difference between a Libertarian Party member and an actual libertarian.)
It's just weird how, until the Paul Pelosi attack, nearly every example of political violence has been carried out against Republicans.
Biden is out lecturing to Americans about political violence and ultra MAGA, but this isn't a Republican problem.
