Let's all salute the "true leadership" of America's most incompetent governor, Andrew Cuomo!

In a new 76-page report NY's attorney general Letitia James alleged Cuomo didn't report thousands of deaths that occurred in nursing homes after he forced COVID-positive patients into the facilities last spring.

Cuomo has spent the entire last year blaming other people and covering up that decision.

Even the New York Times – which really hates reporting stories that speak ill of leftists – had to admit this was a doozy.

Here's what the AG's investigation turned up:

"A survey of nursing homes found consistent discrepancies between deaths reported to the attorney general's investigators and those reported to and officially released by the Health Department," said the Times. "In one instance, an unnamed facility reported to the Health Department that it had 11 confirmed and presumed deaths on site through early August. The attorney general's survey of that same facility, however, found 40 deaths, including 27 at the home and 13 in hospitals."

In another case, Cuomo's administration had recorded one confirmed and six assumed Rona deaths, but the facility said that 31 had died by mid-April.

This trend was followed across dozens of different senior facilities:

"The attorney general asked 62 nursing homes — about a tenth of the state's total — for information about on-site and in-hospital deaths related to the virus; investigators then cross-referenced that information with public reports of deaths issued by the Health Department," wrote the Times. "The deaths reported to the attorney general's office at most of those facilities totaled 1,914, compared to the state's much lower count of 1,229."

That's 685 extra deaths in just 10% of the state's nursing facilities.

The AG is continuing to investigate an additional 20 homes and said other law enforcement agencies are conducting separate investigations.

The political sharks quickly began to circle at the news.

"On Thursday, critics in Washington and Albany seized on the findings as evidence of dishonesty by Mr. Cuomo and his health commissioner, Dr. Howard Zucker," said the Times. "Republicans, who are in the minority in both houses of the Legislature, called on Dr. Zucker to resign."

If you feel bad for Cuomo, remember that he won an International Emmy and wrote a self-congratulating book for his AMAZING pandemic response.

He also blamed "incompetent government" for excess 'Rona deaths earlier this week.
