We are the only nation in history to give true power to the people.
Let Ronald Reagan remind you of what makes America great.
As we reflect this Memorial Day, this idea of "We The People" extends from the Gipper's observations of our government to our military. It is a direct servant of the People, made up of the People โ beholden not to a king or a bureaucracy, but to the People themselves.
And while our Founders feared the type of standing army we have today, and while we are on the verge of losing this precious reality to the elites who have misused the military for decades, the fact that our servicemen and women ultimately work for the People, and not the Pentagon or even the White House, is the thing that has made us truly great. It is not our technological superiority or the tactical position we have enjoyed as a superpower over the last 80 years that makes America unique.
Our military members still largely understand this (outside the woke leaders who want to study "white rage"), which is why the current administration has been so keen to weed out those who understand their oath under the guise of vax mandates and other policies.
If we wish to stop the tide of executive corruption that has misused our military since WWII and re-embrace true greatness, we should remember Reagan's words.
We The People tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us.
Don't forget it, America!
