Democrat rep carjacked at gunpoint in DC outside congressional dorms. Guess how many Dems voted against stronger penalties for carjackings this year?

Last night in the totally peaceful Democrat utopia of Washington DC, a Democrat from Texas was held at gunpoint outside an apartment building where DOZENS of US House members live as his car was stolen from him.

Just another beautiful day in the Swamp!

Monday night at around 9:30 in the Navy Yard area of DC, three black men, donned in black, held US Representative Henry Cuellar at gunpoint and stole his vehicle as he was in the process of parking it for the night.

The perps are still on the loose, but the car has been recovered.

Good thing DC banned guns!

Monday's incident made Cuellar the second Democrat in Congress to become a victim of crime in the nation's capital this year. In February, Minnesota Rep. Angie Craig was attacked in an elevator at her apartment building before fighting off her attacker.

The carjacking also comes just two weeks after law enforcement officials held an open forum on Capitol Hill for members of Congress and Capitol Hill staff to discuss public safety in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Man, DC seems like such a pleasant place to live, doesn't it?

We have to give our nation's lawmakers seminars on how to navigate the city safely, and even after that they're prone to being victimized and involved in street-level crime.

The irony here comes with the fact that many Democrats just voted down a resolution that would have strengthened punishments for violent crime in DC.

Democrat-run cities. You gotta love 'em!

This is the pattern.

Unfortunately, many people who live and work in the swamp aren't able to flee as easily as people in other Democrat cities.

Besides congressmen, congressional staffers have also been victims of violent crime in DC this year.

Enjoy the "find out" phase of your policies, lefties!
