A water main break in Michigan left cars looking like ice sculptures

I don't usually get excited for water main breaks, but when I do, it's definitely when the break leaves cars looking like this:

This happened in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, where the frigid temperatures resulted in several water main breaks in the Detroit area. This particular break, together with the splashing of the water from traffic, and the deep freeze conditions, resulted in these vehicles being covered in ice.

A local woman's grandchildren went on vacation to Nashville and left their cars parked outside of her home. Unfortunately, the cars are now ice sculptures of sorts, and will need to be towed to a warming center. Crews have been working for days to release the cars.

Paul Vanderplow with the Dearborn Heights Office of the Mayor said members of the DPW have been hard at work for days to get the two cars free. They are hoping to get the cars towed out and to a warming center so they can de-ice the cars.

Bro, wintertime is simply unpredictable, and I love it!
