Students at Prattville Christian Academy have been rehearsing the play Mary Poppins Jr. since August, but after their director, Joey Fine, passed away from Covid19 in January, the cast of middle and high school students have taken on the attitude that "the show must go on."

Seeing how discouraged the students were, one parent decided to reach out to Julie Andrews manager to see if the original Mary Poppins might be able to offer some words of encouragement to the young cast.

To the surprise and excitement of the students, Julie Andrews sent them a personal note encouraging them after the death of their beloved director:

"A little bird told me that you have been working on a special benefit production of 'Mary Poppins.' Great! I am sending you warmest wishes for success. Do it in honor of Mr. Fine. He must have been a really nice guy. Remember, also, to enjoy yourselves and give the audience the gift of this magical show."
