That lioness was toast. They had her dead to rights before the reinforcements showed up.

And then that hyena that got spined by that first lioness that came to the rescue ... dude, that thing's never gonna walk right again (if at all).

Lions seriously must be the coolest animals in the world. Nature is metal.
