Amazon and Target have been quietly disappearing best selling books that are critical of transgender ideology

Earlier this week, without explanation, Amazon removed Ryan T. Anderson's bestselling book, "When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement."

Anderson had no idea it even happened until people started emailing him about it.

His book had been a best seller both on Amazon and Bezos' Washington Post. But now it's as if it never existed.

And today, Target seems to have joined in on the modern book burning, removing Abigail Shrier's book "Irreversible Damage."

She says "once again" because this literally happened before to her book at Target, back in November. But that time Target was pressured into putting her book back. Maybe they were emboldened by Amazon's move, this time? Who knows?

And yet another book that dared question the transgender zeitgeist was disappeared by Target as well. This one by Dr. Debra Soh titled "The End of Gender" was also unceremoniously vanished from the Target website.

I have a ton of questions. Not least of which is, did Amazon and Target collude to ban these books? Anderson seems to hint at as much.

It goes without saying, I hope, that this should be deeply concerning to everyone everywhere. Amazon alone has a near total monopoly on book sales at this point. So to be cancelled from Amazon is about the same as having never written a book at all. And Target is a MASSIVE retail giant. How is it that these stores can position themselves as the arbiters of the bounds of acceptable thought? It's not as if these are books attacking transgender people, they are thoughtful critiques of the movement and the potential harm it is doing to people. In fact, some of the authors aren't even conservatives by a long shot.

But apparently no one is allowed to question the narrative anymore without Big Tech or retailers quietly holding a pillow over your face until you stop speaking.

Truly frightening.
