Dude, what is going on with all these people freaking out on airplanes? It's like a new fad or something.
This one happened on a flight from Albuquerque to Chicago, about thirty minutes into the flight.
This lunatic was so close to opening the exit door mid-flight, people could feel the air flowing into the cabin. According to this Barstool Sports employee who was on board,
Crazy dude was sitting in the exit row and tried โ nearly succeeded โ to open the emergency exit door. But then a bunch of brave bros moved in and took him down!
Well, to those men:
They had to hold him down while his hands were zip tied and his body taped up so he couldn't cause any more trouble.
American Airlines told The U.S. Sun,
Flight 1219 with service from Albuquerque (ABQ) to Chicago (ORD) returned to ABQ shortly after takeoff due to a disturbance in the cabin involving a disruptive customer.
The flight landed safely and the aircraft was met by local law enforcement upon arrival.
Here's what it looked like when Albuquerque police escorted him off the plane:
Dude's just smiling away. Tried to open the exit door for who knows what reason and he just loves the attention. Those guys who took him down are national heroes!
Here's the video, along with some news coverage, of the brave bros keeping him from opening that door.
Can you imagine what would've transpired had there not been brave men who were prepared to put their lives on the line for the safety of others?
You love to see stuff like this!
