"Go take a hike!": Art professor absolutely unloads on the pronoun police with a rant for the ages

The College Fix tweeted out a short clip of an art professor going on a rant about the pronoun police, in which she tells them to "Go Take a Hike!"

This clip is from a much larger lecture that you can see here:

I especially love the part about the English language.

"The English language is owned by everyone, okay, it was created by great artists — Chaucer, and Shakespeare, and Wordsworth, and Joyce, and so on — how dare you sniveling little … maniac, tell us how we're going to use pronouns?

Go take a hike!"

Now, for those familiar with the art world, you'll know that this isn't the first time this art professor has made waves in the kiddy pool of the woke. This is the infamous libertarian art professor Camille Paglia, who is worth knowing about for both good and bad reasons.

First the good: Professor Paglia has been fighting the woke since 1990 when they were called the politically correct. That's the year that she published her bestselling book Sexual Personae: Art and Decadence From Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson. In that book, she criticized feminism, traced the battle of the sexes throughout history, and made the bold claim that men and women were biologically different.

Even way back then, the Left tried to cancel her. Check out this article detailing how professors at Connecticut College tried to get her book banned:

Today, her students continue to fight to get her cancelled, fired, replaced, marginalized…really anything to get her to stop speaking, and yet she keeps going.

Now, before we get too excited. Camille Paglia is no conservative hero. Let's talk about the bad.

First, she is a lesbian and calls herself transgender as she feels masculine (and has since early childhood), and to that maybe we can shrug her choices off because she's not pushing her lifestyle down our throats and demanding we use her preferred pronouns.

However, her position on pedophilia has been unimaginable. She has said that she would like to see the Judeo-Christian mores torn down and signed on to NAMBLA's position of okaying both pedophilia and some forms of child pornography.

It just goes to show that there's always more to the story than what you see in video clips.

If you want to know more about Paglia, here's an interesting interview with her and Jordan Peterson:
