The synchronized diving team known as Cook N' Bacon is bringing home the United States first medal from the Paris Olympics after Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook won the silver in the women's 3m synchronized event.

Cook said of the win,

It means so much to me. I was always dreaming about becoming an Olympic medallist, regardless of the color. To finish up there so early with one of my best friends in diving, it's so unreal. I'm kind of lost for words.

I can't think of a more patriotic way to start off the Olympics than with a good ol' American breakfast. No chocolate croissants in the mornings for these athletes!

Not to mention, they've got some pretty great T-shirts:

The girls have been friends since they were kids, and winning an Olympic medal is a milestone they've worked towards together for years.

Bacon said of their friendship,

We just had a connection ever since we were young and it has just transferred into our synchro. We're best friends and we enjoy doing it together.

Cook n' Bacon is bringing home America's first medal in synchronized springboard diving since the London Olympics in 2012.
