CNN's Anderson Cooper, who makes $12 million a year, tried to mock regular Americans saying, "And they’re gonna go back to the Olive Garden and to the Holiday Inn they are staying at."

Any suggestion that our media elites are totally out of touch with regular Americans and have nothing but disdain and contempt for them is simply outrageous.

"And they're going to go back to, you know, the Olive Garden and to the Holiday Inn they're staying at, or the Garden Marriott."

Maybe he was just trying to be helpful, offer some recommendations for the out-of-towners given that Yelp was really hard to get through to with the cell towers being overloaded and all.

Olive Garden fans took it all wrong, and were incensed!

Look, for all we know, Cooper is Keto, and the all-you-can-eat breadsticks just put him over the edge.

You know how bad bloating can be.

Besides, if you're going to insult middle America, everyone knows you go with Applebee's. That's just understood.

As for mid-priced lodging, I think we should give Cooper a little credit for even knowing what a Holiday Inn is. After all, it's unlikely a Vanderbilt heir would have ever stayed at one. Or maybe even driven by one.

I'm sorry, been driven by one.

Cooper might do himself some good by actually staying at a Holiday Inn, kind of like when politicians choke down BBQ to show how "real" they are.

Heck, he might just like it.
