This is actually a pretty good reason to not vote for Zohran Mamdani if you're a Democrat (full disclosure, Andrew Cuomo is running against Mamdani in the NYC mayoral race):
[Trump] wants Mamdani ... Going into the midterms he will take a picture of Mamdani, run around the country, and say, 'here's what happened to the Democrats. They are now communists, they hate police, they legalized prostitution, legalized drugs.'
I gotta say, that's a perfect strategy for the Republicans heading into 2026. The new mayor would take office on the first of the year, and Republicans would have ten whole months to expose him.
Polls show Mamdani up by 15-20 points on Cuomo, so take his statement as either desperation or just the plain truth as to how he feels this will unravel.
