Planned Parenthood annual report shows abortions went up while other health services declined

Planned Parenthood's annual report shows an increase in abortion while it decreased their other services.

From National Review:

Late Friday afternoon, Planned Parenthood released their annual report for 2021. The release of this report comes unusually late in the calendar year. Planned Parenthood had released their last four annual reports in the months of January or February. This 2021 report provides further evidence that Planned Parenthood continues to prioritize abortion. Indeed, Planned Parenthood performed a record 383,460 abortions in 2021. That represents approximately 41 percent of the abortions performed in the United States.

Now that Dobbs has overturned Roe, this might be the last hurrah of sorts for Planned Parenthood.

The trend clearly shows that the abortion industry has been growing stronger and stronger for the last several years as the "pro-choice" message has been replaced by the "Shout-your-abortion" crowd.

The report also shows that Planned Parenthood performed more abortions in 2021 while providing fewer health services. The number of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood increased by 8.5 percent over 2020. At the same time, cancer screenings fell by over 30 percent, well-woman tests fell by 39 percent, STI tests fell by 17.4 percent, and pregnancy tests fell by over 14 percent.

An examination of past Planned Parenthood annual reports shows a durable, long-term trend of performing more abortions and providing fewer health services. In fact, in 20 years the number of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood affiliates has increased by an astounding 80 percent. During the same period, prenatal services offered by Planned Parenthood have declined by more than 43 percent.

Even with the Dobbs victory, American tax dollars are still going to "women's health services" provided by Planned Parenthood.
